From Jamie with love

Roasted fish wrapped in crispy bacon Okay, so I can’t claim this as my own, this is out of the Cook with Jamie cookbook but it turned out well, and yes, I am Chinese, and yes, we love taking photos of food.

About the only thing we can claim as our original thought was when we hit the seafood sections far too late and nobody had the haddock or monkfish that was recommended in the book. We chose baby shark instead, hoping that it would be able to hold up just as well (added bonus of no bones!)

A piece of shark is rubbed down with chopped rosemary and lemon zest, seasoned to taste and wrapped in bacon. Fried for just a minute then thrown in the oven to get all crispy, it’s accompanied by steamed asparagus spears and a lemon mayonnaise.


We paired it with a glass of Leaping Lizard 2006 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc.
